Rakhshan Bani Etemad

Hailed as the first lady of the Iranian cinema, Rakhshan Bani-Etemad’s authentic career span has been admired and praised internationally for the last two decades internationally. Known largely for her work as a screenwriter and a director, Rakhshan Banietemad is widely recognized  for combining the tropes of fiction and documentary into her unique style. With a singular body of work that combines absolute honesty with extraordinary subtlety, Banietemad offers an analysis of the current cultural pressures shaping the Iranian society.

Ronald Bergan

One of the most prominent figures of the world cinema criticism with an exemplary focus on figures such as Jean Renoir and Eisenstein, Ronald Bergan is a regular contributor to The Guardian and is the author of a long list of reference books on cinema as well as books on The Marx Brothers, Francis Coppola and The Coen Brothers, to name a few.  He is a former vice-president of FIPRESCI for which he has been a jury at film festivals such as Cannes, Berlinale, Venice, Locarno, Toronto and Karlovy Vary.

Jan Macola

With a thriving history as the head of co-productions and development in Barrandov Studios for several years, Jan Macola founded his production company, Mimesis, in 2012 and is now considered as one of the distinguished producers of the Czech cinematography with a career that includes some of the most successful titles of the recent years such as We Are Never Alone or The Way Out.  He is also the manager of Kino Pilotů; one of the most focal and leading arthouse cinemas in Prague.
