Following a suicide in a mountain village, a body is prepared for burial in the local cemetery. As the villagers discover the dead woman’s intersexual physicality, her grieving husband is forced to face violent outbursts and threats from the unforgiving community.

Arman Fayyaz

Arman Fayyaz is a prominent director and cinematographer who has worked on over a hundred features and documentaries. Known for his imaginative approach to cinematography, Fayyaz entered the world of directing with his first short film, When, in 2005. His latest thought-provoking short, Manicure (2017), was developed at the Sundance Institute where it later premiered. Since then, the film has been met with audience applause at other esteemed festivals, including Telluride and the Palm Springs ShortFest.
