COLD SWEAT

عرق سرد

DIRECTED BY: Soheil Beiraghi

Upon leaving to compete in the Asian Nations Cup finals, the strong-spirited captain of Iran’s National Women’s Futsal Team discovers she has been legally prohibited from leaving the country by her nationally-adorned, TV-show host husband.

The harder she tries to appease her controlling husband, the more malicious his actions become. Amidst the tensions of her toxic marriage, disloyal teammates, and domestic politicking, the indignant captain is left with no choice but to make her story known.

Based on true events, this fast-paced, emotionally-charged exposé on a woman who endures intimidation, tragedy, and betrayal from the people closest to her, sheds light on a dated law that restricts the freedom of women in our modern world.
