An obese man in prison is rewarded with a 12-hour leave for memorizing the Koran. Outcasted from society together with his overweight wife and son, the man dedicates his precious time outside his cell to ensure that his loved ones have the food and money they need to survive in the harsh outside world.

Davood Khayyam

Davood Kayyam is an accomplished writer and director with a rising name in the Iranian film industry. He is known for his short, Aquarium (2015), and the 2016 feature, Mohey, which appeared in halls across Iran and the UK. His latest masterpiece, Chelleh (2016), had its international premiere in Santa Barbara and has been winning over audiences and critics at esteemed festivals ever since.
